Christmas Lawn Decor
Christmas Lawn Decor For Everyone
Over the years Christmas lawn decor really has become
quite popular all over the world. Decorating the outside
of your home has become just as important as decorating
the inside. Christmas lawn decor shows that the
Christmas spirit is alive and well in your house, and it
also insures that Santa will be sure to visit your
house!
Christmas lawn decor isnt just about throwing a strand
of lights on the house anymore; its about neighborly
competition and creating beautiful scenes in your yard!
If you are still putting up that same string of lights
you bought in 1970 you need to get with the times!
Christmas lawn decor has become much more detailed, but
also easier in many aspects.
When lighting your roof, the use of shingle clips really
does make the job easier. Shingle clips have made
putting up the lights and keeping them in place a lot
easier, and the clips can be left up all year long so
you can simply snap the lights into place next year. If
you are a perfectionist about how your lights look, ask
about shingle clips at your Christmas retailer this
year.
Christmas lawn decor has been brought to new levels with
inflatable decorations that are big, fun, and easy to
use. These inflatable Christmas decorations usually cost
about fifty dollars and come in all of the popular
characters that people old and young are familiar with.
You simply set up these inflatables, plug in a cord, and
let a fan blow up the character of your choice! Very
effective lawn decor, and easy too! If you dont have a
lot of time to devote to your lawn at Christmas time,
this is a good pick because it takes longer to buy the
inflatable than it does to set it up.
One recent addition to Christmas lawn decor is rope
lighting. Instead of the classic Christmas lights that
get all tangled up, rope lights are literally a plastic
rope of lights incased in a soft pliable plastic. The
lights shine through the casing and give a uniform look
along roofs, sidewalks, paths, and the perimeters of
yards. Unlike traditional lights, if one bulb burns out
the whole strand does not go out which is great! After
use you simply roll the rope up and store it for next
year. This really is a simple and effective way to add
lights to your house. Rope lights usually cost the same
or less than your classic strands of Christmas lights.
Animated Christmas lawn decor is quite popular also.
From trains to animated figures there is a whole world
of Christmas animation to amuse passersby. This sort of
lawn decor can be beautiful and fun but is also some of
the most expensive lawn decor you can get. If you live
in an area where theft and vandalism has been a problem
in the recent past you may want to set up video
surveillance cameras to protect your decor, or plan to
take some of the items down at night. Its sad that you
have to consider this, but many young kids dont realize
how expensive these items are and they consider it fun
to vandalize peoples Christmas decor.
Whatever Christmas lawn decor you choose, have fun with
it. Remember that more isnt always better and if you
want to have a lot dont feel like you have to do it all
in one year. Adding one piece of lawn decor a year can
be fun, and a great way to keep neighbors in suspense
about what you will be adding to the show this year!
